Accessibilty

we believe in making history accessible!

We are always working on ways to improve accessibility. As it can vary from tour to tour we are planning to update each tour description accordingly. Please contact us directly to discuss the best options for your needs.

Some accommodations can be implemented on our public tours, and our private tour rates can be flexible in order to provide the best experience for everyone. We also offer virtual versions of several of our tours.

FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS

The majority of our walks are suitable for wheelchair users and the routes and utilize city sidewalks or trails that include ramps at places where we need to cross roads. Please be aware that unforeseen construction etc. is a possibility, but that our guides are adept at adjusting the route on the go as needed. Some tours do have inclines.

FOR THOSE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY

Most of our tours do require the ability to walk/stand for an hour or more. Some tours have places with benches and some do not. We recommend contacting us directly about options. Private tours can be slowed down and tailored to meet clients needs and we can offer affordable rates for those with accommodation needs. We also offer virtual versions of several of our tours.

HEARING IMPAIRED CLIENTS

We can arrange for an ASL interpreter with at least 2 weeks advanced notice. We can also provide cards that cover the commentary for you to read at the various stops. You are also welcome to bring along your own interpreter at no extra charge.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED CLIENTS

For clients who are visually impaired your guide will ensure that his commentary is descriptive. Guide dogs are welcome on all the tours. We appreciate a heads up and please be sure to introduce yourself to the guide at the start of the tour.

SCHOLARSHIPS and DISCOUNTS

We know financial hardships are real. Scholarships and discounts available! Reach out, we got u.

We try to offer tours free of charge periodically as we can, and work with local government and other organizations to use grant funding to offer free or discounted tours. We are happy to work with groups on a budget, as making history accessible is important to us.

We welcome any suggestions on how we can improve on our service in order to make tours and local history accessible to all.
